Top Gun is a first-person flight-combat shoot ’em up developed and published by Konami for the NES, based on the 1986 film. Players pilot an F-14 Tomcat through four missions from a cockpit view — downing enemy aircraft and targets with unlimited machine guns and limited missiles, refueling in mid-air, and finishing each mission with a challenging aircraft-carrier landing. It is known for its difficulty.
