Rygar is an open-ended action-adventure game developed and published by Tecmo for the NES, reworked from the 1986 arcade original into a Metroidvania. As the resurrected Legendary Warrior, players explore the land of Argool with the Diskarmor — a chained shield thrown like a yo-yo — gaining life, strength, spells, and progression items to reach and defeat the demon Ligar.
