Faxanadu is an action RPG platform-adventure developed by Hudson Soft for the NES, a spin-off of Nihon Falcom’s Xanadu. Players guide a returning wanderer through a giant ruined World Tree of towns and dungeons — jumping, climbing, and fighting with swords and magic, buying gear with gold, and earning rank-based level-ups — to restore the tree and defeat the Evil One.
