Dig Dug is an arcade action game developed by Namco and published by Bandai for the NES, ported from the 1982 arcade original. Players control Taizo Hori, tunneling through underground dirt to defeat Pookas and Fygars — inflating them with an air pump until they burst, or crushing them by dropping rocks. Clearing all enemies advances to the next round.
