Final Fantasy is a turn-based role-playing game developed and published by Square for the NES, the first entry in the series. Players name four Warriors of Light and choose their classes, then explore an overworld of towns and dungeons — fighting random turn-based battles, buying gear and spells, and restoring four elemental Orbs — to defeat the demon Chaos. It was directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi with music by Nobuo Uematsu.
