Super Smash Bros. is a platform fighting game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64, the first in the series. Up to four players battle as Nintendo characters on themed stages, racking up damage to knock rivals off the platform rather than depleting health. It uses simple attack and special-move controls, item pickups, and a single-player mode.
