Killer Instinct Gold is a 2D fighting game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64, based on the arcade game Killer Instinct 2. Fighters battle in two-round matches, chaining long combos and Ultra Combos while opponents attempt Combo Breakers to interrupt them. It features a roster of returning and new characters, a training mode, and modes including Tournament and Team Battle.
