1943: The Battle of Midway is a vertical scrolling shooter developed and published by Capcom for the NES, the sequel to 1942 in the 194X series. Players pilot a P-38 Lightning through WWII Pacific stages against enemy planes and battleships, using a single energy meter for both health and fuel. The NES version adds a stats system and permanent plane upgrades.
