Jagex raised the US 12-month price twice in 18 months. It went from $79.99 to $99.48 on September 27, 2024, then to $131.88 on March 10, 2026.

Who Keeps the Old RuneScape Price?

Monthly subscribers with an unbroken agreement from before September 27, 2024 keep their grandfathered rate. Cancelling on or after April 9, 2026 ends that rate, except in billing-failure cases.

Jagex pulled the 6-month package from sale on March 10, 2026. A Bond, which redeems for 14 days of membership, now costs $9.99.

Square Enix said both figures fell because the prior year included the Dawntrail expansion launch.

The company also named lower MMO revenue as one reason Square Enix’s group net sales fell to ¥297.6 billion from ¥324.5 billion.

The briefing does not separate subscription fees from expansion sales. Evercold, the next FFXIV expansion, is planned for January 2027.

On Nintendo Switch 2, players with an active FFXIV subscription on another platform pay half the standard cost for a Switch 2 subscription.
