Shadowgate is a first-person point-and-click adventure game developed by Kemco for the NES, ported from ICOM Simulations’ 1987 MacVenture original. As the last of a line of hero-kings, the player explores the trap-filled Castle Shadowgate — solving puzzles with menu commands, managing a supply of torches to stay alive, and avoiding frequent deaths — to stop the Warlock Lord from summoning the demon Behemoth.
