Double Dragon is a side-scrolling beat ’em up developed by Technos Japan and published by Tradewest for the NES, ported from the 1987 arcade hit. Billy Lee brawls through streets, factories, and a temple to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend Marian from the Black Warriors gang — punching, kicking, using weapons, and unlocking new techniques via an experience system. The NES adds a one-on-one versus mode.
