Last Hope is a horizontally scrolling shoot ’em up for the Neo Geo AES and Neo Geo CD, developed and self-published by German studio NG:DEV.TEAM in 2006. Players pilot the Z-42 Warpstar fighter through six stages against an invading alien empire. The game features a 360° rotary protection unit that orbits the ship for shielding and offensive fire, hand-drawn Neo Geo-style backgrounds, CGI enemy animations, and a constant 60fps frame rate with multiple parallax layers. It was later ported to Dreamcast in 2007 by RedSpotGames.
