Yoshi’s Story is a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64, following Yoshi’s Island. A group of Yoshis set out to recover their stolen Super Happy Tree, eating fruit to stay happy and healthy across storybook-styled stages. Players run, flutter-jump, and throw eggs, choosing their path through a branching page-based level map. It has a gentle, approachable design.
