Vigilante 8 is a vehicular combat game developed by Luxoflux and published by Activision for the Nintendo 64, in the Twisted Metal mold. Set during a 1975 oil crisis, players pick from a cast of drivers in weaponized 1970s muscle cars, buses, and trucks, battling across open arena stages with machine guns, pickups, and character-specific special weapons. The N64 version supports up to four players.
