Private servers drop the PvP limit. The host sets a ServerPlatform launch flag, and PC, PS5 and Xbox players can then join the same map.
Mixed tribes get more room here than in Rust, where PC and console never meet. It works more like 7 Days to Die and its shared servers.
Switch owners are left out. No Switch release means no Switch and PC crossplay. Studio Wildcard’s Jeremy Stieglitz told PCGamesN a Switch 2 port is in the works, with no date set.
Mobile is its own game. ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition came out in December 2024 as a port of ARK: Survival Evolved and runs its own servers.
