Ghosts ‘n Goblins is a side-scrolling action-platformer developed and published by Capcom for the NES, ported from the 1985 arcade original. The knight Arthur battles through demon-filled stages to rescue Princess Prin-Prin from the demon king Astaroth, throwing lances and other weapons. A single hit strips his armor, a second kills him, and beating the game once requires a second loop. It is famous for its difficulty.
