NES Game Reviews #15 – Donkey Kong Jr<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

With the success of its predecessor, Donkey Kong<\/a>, Nintendo knew a sequel was essential. DK Jr took much of the gameplay that made the first a smash and twisted it around to create a new yet familiar experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der vielleicht gr\u00f6\u00dfte Unterschied zwischen Donkey Kong Jr. und Donkey Kong ist, dass diesmal Mario (immer noch als Jumpman bekannt) der B\u00f6sewicht des Spiels ist. Anstatt Pauline vor Donkey Kong zu retten, steuern Sie Donkey Kong Jr. (auf dem Super Nintendo besser bekannt als Donkey Kong) und m\u00fcssen Ihren lieben Papa (den B\u00f6sewicht des ersten Spiels) aus den F\u00e4ngen von Mario retten. Das ist eine nette Abwechslung zur Darstellung von Heldentum und ein Lob an Nintendo f\u00fcr diesen neuen Ansatz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graphically the game is very much the same as Donkey Kong, but the game play influence is on climbing rather than jumping. Also like the first Kong, the game is very short and very easy, at least to make it to the first loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highly enjoyable even if Donkey Kong Jr is a very short experience. Of course playing for points is a different matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
