NES Game Reviews #14 – Donkey Kong<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Keeping with the Black Box releases, I ventured onto an absolute arcade classic, Donkey Kong<\/a>. Donkey Kong was an absolute smash in the arcade and Nintendo’s first outing in the video game market. It’s no surprise to see Donkey Kong ported to Nintendo’s first home console. What is a surprise is the exclusion of one of the levels, ie the Pie Factory. Instead of the classic four levels which repeat from the arcade, the NES port only has three. Still as a kid I never knew about the Pie Factory level since I never played the arcade cabinet so didn’t bother me one bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auch wenn Donkey Kong einfach nur charmant ist, hat es mehr mit einer Generation von Spielen gemein, die ihm auf Atari-Systemen vorausgingen, als mit dem, was auf dem NES folgte, einer Zeit, in der es bei Spielen um hohe Punktzahlen und nicht um Endbildschirme ging. Bis Sie sich eine Tasse Tee kochen k\u00f6nnen, k\u00f6nnten Sie das Spiel schon durchgespielt haben. Keine gro\u00dfe Herausforderung, aber trotzdem eine Freude zu spielen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
