Captain America and the Avengers is a side-scrolling action platformer developed and published by Data East for the NES — a different game from the studio’s arcade brawler of the same name. Players control Captain America (shield) and Hawkeye (arrows), switching between them, to rescue captured teammates Iron Man and Vision from the Mandarin and defeat the Red Skull across five levels.
